Minutes of the last AGM
This is the first AGM of the reformed club

Chairman’s opening address.
Ken thanked those present for all their support and work with regards to the club over the past year.

Election of Club officials
The post of Chairman was not up for election this AGM as per the club Constitution

The post of Club Secretary was up for Election. No member showed an interest to stand and the current Club Secretary, Bob Ayre, agreed to carry on the post for another term.

The post of Treasurer was up for election. The current Treasurer Linda Cain did not wish to stand again for the position. Jamie Smith made known his wish to stand prior to the meeting and was unanimously voted into the position of Treasurer by those present. The club wishes to thank Linda for all her work in the past.

The post of Floating Officer that was agreed to be Elsdon Watson at the last Monthly meeting, was confirmed at the AGM

Treasurer’s Report
Linda sent her apologies so the Chairman tabled the club accounts on her behalf. The Number 1 account is showing a balance of £529.49 and the Number 2 account is showing a balance of £182.42
It was agreed that Jamie will hold a handover meeting with Linda prior to the next ordinary meeting.

Fundraising
The club held a very successful charity fundraiser in the past year, a “Pig Racing” night that raised just over £2,000. The club is holding a Charity Sportsmans dinner on 2nd October 2008 in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Constitution
The draft constitution that was tabled at the last monthly meeting was agreed at the AGM.

Membership
The current membership of the club is 26 Adult and 8 Junior members a total membership of 34.
Members yet to pay their membership fee are reminded to pay by the next meeting.
