Charity Sportsmans Dinner 2nd October 2008

The club held a charity Dinner to benefit the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation at the Mount Murray Hotel.

Guest Speaker was Newcastle and England Legend Peter Beardsley and the MC/Comic for the evening was Brendan Healy. After an enjoyable dinner and a short film of his memorable goals Peter entertained the over 160 strong audience with tales from his career with England, Newcastle and Liverpool.   He was followed by a hilarious stand up routine by Brendan Healy then an auction of memorabillia that was generously bid upon.

The evening raised in excess of £9,000.00 for this very worthwhile cause.
