The Isle of Man Branch of the Newcastle United Supporters club was formed in 2001 by Geordie ex-pats Ken Cain and Rob Marshal. Rob has since swapped this Island for the Island of Crete but Ken is our current Chairman. Bob Ayre, the clubs long standing Club Secretary, has moved on to Nigeria and the new Club Secretary, Michael McGarry, along with Jamie Smith our Club Treasurer and Elsdon Watson our Floating Officer make up our officials.
We meet monthly at the Savoy Hotel Douglas. Our members have been to many games over the years since our formation, both home and abroad, but as well as being a vehicle for tickets/travel etc there is a strong emphasis on the social aspects of the club. Members who are not travelling to games watch the match in Jaks bar, Loch Promenade, Douglas, so if you ever find yourself in the Isle of Man when the games on head to Jaks as fellow Toon fans always get a warm welcome.
Although the majority of our membership were originally native to the North East, we also have members from further afield as well as manx born and bred. The club is now officially recognised by NUFC and has a guaranteed allocation of Home league and Cup tickets for every game for our members.
NUFC IOM Supporters club is an Affiliate Member of The Football Supporters Federation.
